Morning Madness

It’s 4.30 in the morning and the only light in my room is coming from the Microsoft Word :D . I don’t have a clock in my room and hence, the only sound coming is that of my nails hitting the keyboard. I don’t like this sound, hence a noise for me.

Cold breeze blowing outside, touching the leaves, dancing leaves, making a soft romantic sound, putting a broad smile on my face is something I always long for. It’s happening now. So I’m happy. I love the sound when breeze/wind touches trees. I want to go out for a walk now.

Old romantic songs on my playlist. [There's no harm in listening to them. Anyone can listen and enjoy them- be she in love or not. Hardly matters.] And while listening to these songs, the only question that is popping in my mind now is ‘Have you ever been in Love?’

You have? Ok. So how many times? For all I know is love happens once in a lifetime- unless your heart is a re-writable CD. Seriously. Trust me. This reminds of a dialogue from the movie “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” — “maa hum jeete ek baar hain aur marte ek baar hain..bla bla bla…aur hum pyaar bhi ek baar hi karte hian” [Liar liar, pants on fire. Why did you then fall for Kajol? Huh]

My question still remains unanswered. Can love happen again and again? For what I think is, NO. How can you stop caring for someone whose injuries and wounds, once, were yours? Love is not about talking 24×7 ["Jaanu, you love me na? eh!] Well, you can end a relationship but can you stop loving and feeling for someone? Relationship and loving someone is two different thing. Right? God! I should better stop talking about these things. I know nothing. :(

All I know is, you don’t fall in love “intentionally”. Christ, he has got such cute dimples, I want that guy in my life; that girl is so haawwtttt, she’ll be a perfect girl in my life! It just happens. Beginning with friendship.

Enough of a lecture on love. I’m feeling hungry. Also, it’s almost morning for other people [naah! I don't call 5am a morning time. For me it's night.] Voila, dawn break. :D I saw sunrise. yaye yaye.

Breaking of Dawn through my lens

PS: Avoid the love part ;) and if you can’t then drop a comment on what you’ve to answer for my question. :)

Good Morning. :)

Life

Life is beautiful. More beautiful in photos that you chance upon. Photos with friends laughing, making faces reminds me of few sweet memories I had with them. While going through the photos I don’t feel lonely. I revisit all those moments  of togetherness and the secret, we once shared. But once, I’m done with the photos I again start feeling lonely. And in that loneliness I’m surrounded with another truth of life. This one is horrible. The truth remains that hearts break and we are compelled to look back from time to time, when we are alone, the night catches us, off guard. It spreads its arms, immerses us, devours us, and there is nothing else, but to think, and go over it again. And while the cruel night laughs you are left with no choice but to look back.

Sigh.

A Must Read

I wanted to write a blog-post from the past many days. But I could not get time or you can say I could not manage time. Last week was an extremely bad week for me. Reasons? I was not satisfied with my performance at office. Apart from that, I was little disturbed. There were few things from the past which haunted me. Anyway, the only good thing that happened to me previous week was that I received my novels, which I had ordered long time back. And the most interesting thing was that I completed one of them the same night.

NOSTALGIC

And it was such a pleasant read. That novel, “Jane Eyre”, reminded me of my grad days. :D (For those who don’t know) “Jane Eyre” is a novel written by Charlotte Bronte. It was published in the same year as “Wuthering Heights”. And if you don’t know about “Wuthering Heights” then you have actually disappointed me! I have read that novel at least thrice. Not because it was in my syllabus but I loved reading it again and again. Back to the novel. One thing famous about Jane Eyre, the protagonist, is that she believes herself to be the heroine of her own life. So do I! ;)

BRONTE SIS’ AMAZING NOVELS

Emily Bronte’s magnum opus “Wuthering Heights” had a great impact on my young mind. I started believing in love. I got so much attached to “Wuthering Heights” that I cried when Catherine died in the novel. I got upset when Catherine married Edgar and not Heathcliffe. Anyway, I read “Jane Eyre” because I had read a lot about this novel and it’s author in the “History of English Literature”. “Jane Eyre” is a novel about an orphaned girl who is brought by her cruel aunt. She is sent to a charity school where the food and facility is very poor. She struggles through her loveless childhood and becomes governess. Jane is passionate and opinionated, and values freedom and independence. She also has a strong conscience and is a determined Christian. Jane’s dialogue, “If you are a Christian, you ought not consider poverty a crime” and her writing “Resurgam” (Latin for ‘I will rise again’) on her friend’s grave proves her belief in Christianity. Her life takes a new turn after she takes up the job of a governess. She starts loving a man who is 20years older to her age. But for her “Mr Rochester looks much younger than that!” [Love is blind, you can say here]

LOVE IS HIGHLY ROMANTIC IN CLASSIC LITERATURES

One thing that I love about the classic literatures is the way they tell you the entire story. Amazing. At least, I start feeling whatever happens in the novel. I start living up with the characters. While reading “Jane Eyre” my only concern was, will not she get happiness at the end? Will she remain the same ill-fated girl throughout the novel? Why did Mr Rochester lie to her? Also, proposing love happens in a very stylish manner in classic literature. I remember, Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy’s proposal to Elizabeth. He had written, “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I love you and admire you.” And in “Wuthering Heights” the exchange of letters between Catherine and Heathcliffe and Cathy (Catherine’s daughter) and Linton (Heathcliffe’s son) is worth reading. While in “Jane Eyre”, Mr Rochester holding Jane’s hand says, “I hate being in debt to anyone, but with you it’s different, Jane. I’m happy to owe you my life. I knew when I first saw you, that you would do me a good. I saw it in your eyes when I met you. I was right to…like…your smile and the magic in your face” is such a classy way of expressing love!

A GLIMPSE OF VICTORIAN ERA

Oh yes, if you don’t like romantic novels, you can still read “Jane Eyre”. Why? Because you will get a very clear view of what was happening in the Victorian era. This novel belongs to the Victorian era. It reflects what was happening in the society. Literature is always the mirror of society. The conflict between science and religion and propagating Christianity were the characteristics of Victorian period. So you ought to read this wonderful piece of writing.
